Origin of the Dravidiam (திராவிடம்)
Dravidian is name for languages spoken in Southern India. Founder of Dravidar Kazhagam (Dravidian Party) Was Periyar E. V. Ramasamy also called as Thanthai Periyar. Periyar was born in erode on 17 September 1879. He was in merchant family. Periyar married at the age of 19. Periyar wife name Nagammai, she died on 1933. C. N. Annadurai and his followers decided to split from Dravidar Kazhagham, And they started Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam in 1949. Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam was announced by Kudanthai Perunthagai. K. K.
